The Division of Creative Economy, through the Grenada Office of Creative Affairs, is a champion for the cultural and creative industries, ensuring that creative entrepreneurs have the tools they need to thrive. The Division of Creative Economy, through the Grenada Office of Creative Affairs (GOCA), is responsible for cultivating an environment for Grenada’s cultural and creative industries to flourish. A champion for the cultural and creative sectors, GOCA recognises that innovation and creativity, preservation and revitalization of natural heritage, and cultural diversity are fundamental pillars of long-term social and economic development. Through policy formulation and implementation, strategic initiatives for capacity building, economic incentives and visibility, GOCA works to ensure that creative entrepreneurs have the tools they need to thrive. HOW WE SERVE: The National Cultural and Creative Industries Strategy Project seeks to establish the policy framework and strategic plan for Grenada’s creative economy that will position Grenada as a creative hub, renowned regionally and globally. The Cultural & Creative Industries Business Development Fund was instituted to mitigate the financing challenges experienced by practitioners in the cultural and creative sectors and encourage the growth and viability of creative enterprises. The Office of Creative Affairs facilitates workshops and courses specifically designed for creatives. A valuable resource, the GOCA workshops provide creatives with the essential skills and knowledge to navigate the competitive landscape. Scholarships are also available for creatives to enroll in the specialized courses for the cultural and creative industries offered by T.A. Marryshow Community College. Divisions
