The Division of Culture works to preserve and develop Grenada’s unique cultural heritage and ensure that our cultural practices are valued for their role in shaping national identity, fostering national pride and contributing to economic growth. The Division of Culture is responsible for the preservation and development of Grenada’s tangible and intangible cultural heritage. By establishing and implementing policy and strategic initiatives, the Division of Culture seeks to ensure that Grenada’s unique cultural practices are valued for their role in shaping national identity, fostering national pride, and contributing to economic growth. The Division of Culture works with stakeholders to enhance the cultural offering through technical support for the performing arts, training for festival organizers, and facilitating the processes to preserve natural heritage assets. HOW WE SERVE The performing arts school programs, with a focus on voice, dance, steelpan, and calypso, are essential to nurturing Grenada’s cultural heritage and supporting the Festival of the Arts which is a biennial event put on by the Division of Culture. Together, these programs offer students the opportunity to develop and refine their talents, enabling them to contribute to the growth and sustainability of the arts in Grenada. They also provide a meaningful platform for students to express themselves, connect with their cultural roots, and perform on national and international stages. The Grenada Festival of the Arts is a biennial event dedicated to celebrating and nurturing the artistic talent of Grenada’s youth and community members. Through a variety of performances and workshops, the festival aims to elevate the cultural landscape of Grenada and promote artistic excellence. Other projects: Divisions
